Education and Outreach Campaign
Have you ever been unsure if something was recyclable or not? If so, you are not alone! Recycle Right NY (RRNY) is an education and outreach effort in collaboration with the Syracuse University Center for Sustainable Community Solutions informed by more than 130 recycling professionals from across New York State. We remove the guesswork from recycling by providing the information and resources you need to recycle right and “Know Before You Throw.” Join us as we strive to help New Yorkers become the best recyclers in the nation!
Check out the Recyclopedia, an encyclopedia search tool and guide that provides reduction, reuse, and recycling instructions for more than 300 common household items, the Local Recycling Guidelines Tool, where you can see what is and is not accepted where you live, the Locator Tools for Reuse and Electronics, where you can use maps to find where the nearest drop-off locations are, and even download free Outreach Material that you can share on your own platforms to inform recycling.
